This camera was tested by Consumer Reports where they dropped it onto a concrete floor with no noticeable dents, scratches or malfunctions. In order to keep your camera in the best shape possible, you’ll still want to have a camera bag to carry it in, a strap that you can attach the camera to one of your appendages, preferably your wrist and not your ankle, and the usual things that go with having digital photo equipment.

On the whole, the pictures taken by the Olympus Stylus Tough-6000 are excellent, and it adjusts, zooms and makes lighting corrections unbiased like the grand digital SLRs out there. While there are level-headed limitations (after all, it’s still a subcompact camera), for the price of just under $300, it is a good deal if you are an active photographer who covers sports and outdoor events.
